OBDEMOTO-6004 Tester

Introduction
This digital tester is a handheld testing instrument that specializes in measuring the performance of gasoline pump, battery, starting system and charging system. At the same time, it can also be used as a voltmeter and ammeter.
Voltage measurement range: 9 ~ 18V,
current measurement range: 0 ~ 100A.
During testing, the battery provides power to the tester. A fully or partially charged battery should not be less than 12V, otherwise the battery should be fully charged.

Function

Generator charging current function test

 1. When the ignition switch is off, firstly remove the battery negative ground wire, and separate it from the battery. Don't remove the battery positive red wire.
 2. The is connected to the battery negative head, the is connected to the battery positive head, and the is connected to the negative ground wire. Make sure the connections are good and if necessary, improve the contact by rocking the clips back and forth.
Note: The black alligator clip must not be connected to the positive pole of the battery, otherwise it will cause a short circuit in the battery, resulting in battery and equipment failure.
3. The tester will be initialized and the LED will truly display the present battery voltage and current values.
4.Turn on the ignition switch [KEY ON] and all electric equipments (such as headlights, etc.). 10 to 15 seconds after the engine is started (under normal conditions of battery charging and discharging):
 The voltmeter (DCV) data should fluctuate within 14.50 ± 0.25 / 5000RPM;
The current meter (DCA) data (such as a high beam) should be varied from 0.50 to 1.50 DCA / 5000RPM, and the measurement results are acceptable.
The figure is based on actual experience values. If the measurement results deviate from the range, further detection of the following aspects is required as below:
A. Battery, regulator and generator coil, etc. (since petrol vehicles and jet vehicles have single-phase three-phase difference).
B. Wire aging or poor grounding contact.
C. Bad parts and battery red wire are vulcanized and so on.

Functional test of gasoline pump and starter
1. When the ignition switch is off, firstly remove the battery negative ground wire, and separate it from the battery. Don't remove the battery positive red wire.
2. The small black alligator clip is connected to the battery negative head, the red alligator clip is connected to the battery positive head, and the large black alligator clip is connected to the negative ground wire.
4. Turn off all the electric equipment (such as headlights, etc.) on the car, turn on the ignition switch [KEY ON], but do not start the engine. When you hear the sound of the gasoline pump, observe the voltage and current value displayed by the device, and read the working current of the gasoline pump.
5. Start the vehicle. During starting the vehicle, observe the voltage and current value displayed by the equipment, and read the working current of the starter.
6. The figure can be referred to the original maintenance manual, or read the actual experience value of normal vehicles for your reference.
If the measurement results deviate from the range, further detection of the following aspects is required as below:
Gasoline pump, starter, battery, wire aging or poor contact wire and battery red wire vulcanized and other factors.
